What is Simparica Trio?
Simparica Trio is a broad-spectrum oral treatment formulated to protect dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 2.8 lbs against internal and external parasites. With Sarolaner, Moxidectin, and Pyrantel as the active ingredients, these liver-flavored chewables kill adult fleas before they can lay eggs and are indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations. Plus, it improves the signs of flea allergy dermatitis.
This monthly treatment effectively treats and controls infestations caused by 5 types of ticks: Gulf Coast ticks, deer ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, and lone star ticks. It is also recommended for the prevention of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. The protection coverage extends to internal parasites as Simparica Trio treats and controls roundworms and hookworms and aids in the prevention of heartworm disease.

Simparica Trio leverages a potent composition formed with Sarolaner, Moxidectin, and Pyrantel. The active ingredients work together to eliminate internal and external parasites by disrupting their nervous system, causing paralysis and death. In Simparica Trio, Sarolaner targets and eliminates fleas and ticks, Pyrantel protects from roundworms and hookworms, and Moxidectin helps prevent heartworm disease.
Directions
- Ascertain the right dosage by weighing your dog
- Chews can be administered directly or mixed with food
- Give one chew orally per month as per the dosage schedule
- Observe your dog for some time after administration to ensure that the entire dose is consumed
- If it's not consumed completely, administer a new, complete dose
